BCI is partnered with Warm Springs Constructors for the HVAC portion of this project, which will add 5.4-miles of new tracks from the existing Fremont Station south to a new station in the Warm Springs district of the City of Fremont.
The Warm Springs Station will feature an at-grade island platform with an overhead concourse, intermodal access to Valley Transit Authority (VTA) and Alameda-Contra Costa Transit (AC Transit) buses, as well as taxi and “kiss and ride” passenger drop off areas, all via Warm Springs Boulevard.
BCI’s scope of work (approximately $9,000,000 in value) includes 350HP tunnel ventilation fans, Warm Springs Station plumbing and ventilation systems, as well as plumbing and ventilation systems for various support facilities such as the Supervisor’s Building, Traction Power Substation, Ancillary Building, Fremont Station Fire Command Post, Ventliation structures, and Paseo Padre bathrooms. This project is expected to be completed and ready for revenue service in 2015.
